The University of Bayreuth and the Department of Mathematics receive awards. 

The renowned international THE Young University Ranking of “Universities under 50” places the University of Bayreuth among the top five percent worldwide. This once again confirms the high academic reputation and international importance of research and teaching in Bayreuth.

It also received excellent ratings in the latest ranking by the Centre for Higher Education Development (CHE) in the subjects of biology, chemistry, biochemistry, geography, geosciences, computer science, mathematics, physics and sports science. The CHE surveyed around 120,000 students throughout Germany.
